Ottawa, Kansas was scoured by a two-hour-long storm that dumped nearly five inches of rain before it moved on. With so much rain, the birds and bugs were all scrambling to get out of the water. The normally hidden rolly pollies were just hanging on in the backyard after the rain had passed.

I heard of your storm, I live in Kansas..and we sure had some rain storms recently!! =)
I’m just happy that we didn’t get the hail the NWS was threatening us with! You never like to hear the words “golf ball” or “half-dollar-sized” when talking about the weather.
I’ve been enjoying all the rain, especially after our very dry summer last year, and especially now that our basement doesn’t leak! What a beautiful picture!
I’ve been really pleased about the rain, too. We need it! Just…not all in one day.
